The following test data was made on our Standard Noise Braker® plug.
The tests measured noise attenuation (reduction) at varying frequencies. Testing the frequencies is similar to comparing the noise reduction while you play the key of C at varying locations on a piano keyboard.
Our proprietary Hocks Noise Braker® filter is used in other products, and while attenuation data should be similar, the test data on this site is for Hocks Noise Braker® units only.

Noise Braker® Standards are mass produced ear tips with the Noise Braker® filter inserted in the body.
The soft accordion style tip has three flanges that seal the ear from sound and keep the plug in the ear, leaving only one way for sound to enter the ear - through the Noise Braker® filter, thus allowing the filter to do it's job.
The effectiveness of Noise Braker® Standards depends on how well the ear is sealed. This can change depending on the size and shape of a person's ear. Because the Standards are mass produced, they are lower in cost than Custom Noise Brakers®.
